Horsforth is just six miles out of Leeds with good transport connections by both bus and train. That makes it a perfect spot for those seeking a more relaxed pace of life whilst keeping the buzz of the city centre close at hand.
Over the years Horsforth has evolved its own distinctive character. It’s mature with a definite village feel and yet has a modern edge. There’s room to breath here with a splendid park and the countryside around Otley and Ilkley easily accessible.
Compact and easy to get around, Horsforth has two quite separate shopping and leisure areas. Town Street will meet most retail needs with a good supermarket and a number of independent shops. There’s a good choice of traditional pubs such as the Black Bull and the Queen’s Arms. Restaurants include the Outside Inn and The Last Viceroy.
On New Road Side you’ll find an equally good selection of shops. It also boasts a number of restaurants and bistros including Fat Franco’s and Luigi’s. It’s also home to local favourite The Suburban Style Bar a much favoured watering hole with a cosmopolitan atmosphere which attracts locals and students from nearby Trinity and All Saints College.
